May 2016: North Platte Kids Klub

Agricultural Day

Kids Klub, a school-based afterschool program serving elementary students in North Platte, holds "Mega Days" throughout the school year on non-school days. On a recent "Mega Day", Kids Klub took 100 students on a morning field trip to Curtis for a hands-on experience at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture. Students were able to visit the campus, interact with animals, learn from staff and participate in interactive tours.  Students returned to North Platte to continue their Mega Day afternoon activities with the Lincoln County Farm Bureau--where they learned more about agriculture and participated in many hands-on activities.  Click here to read more about this day full of STEM learning and hands-on experiences.  Visit the Kids Klub website to read more about the many other exciting STEM and Arts "Mega Days" that have occured this school year.
